From September 2013, Peter Pharoah will be exhibiting his new series of beautiful and thought provoking portraits.
The series entitled African Renaissance 'Faces of Africa...' embodies the merging of the old with the new.. both in terms of style and Peter's bold and striking use of colour. Using his hallmark textures and bold brush strokes, he tells the story behind the modern African woman and her place in today's society.
Thembi, pictured here, means Hope in Zulu and this portrait attempts to convey the difficult struggle facing the modern African woman as she makes her way in the world while still honouring her tribal heritage.
Thembi is also available in 40x40cm and 100 x 100cm canvas giclee prints as part of our Fine Art Print Collection.
